    While watching 'DareDevil', it occured to me that this Marvel comics hero doesn't have a proper theme song.  I decided to take it upon myself to write one for him.  So, all the italicized blue text in this review should be sung to theme of the 'RoadRunner' cartoon.  While the melody may not be original, it does give 'DareDevil' the amount of respect it deserves!  And away we go:

    DareDevil is played by Ben Affleck.  Under the guise of a mild-mannered defense attorney, he seeks to rid the city of crime and avenge the events of his tortured past.  He's the hero of this picture.  Oh, and he's blind.

    Everybody thinks he's just an ordinary guy;
    He can't spin webs, bend steel, or even fly;
    DareDevil's got 'em fooled, though some may pry;
    There's more to this super hero than meets the eye!
    DareDevil - keeping secrets within you;
    DareDevil - if they find out, then you're through!
    DareDevil - hidden secrets within you;
    DareDevil - if they find out, then you're through!

    The villian of our story is a crime boss named Kingpin, played by Michael Clarke Duncan.  The only thing stopping Kingpin from controlling all crime in the city is that goodie-goodie DareDevil.

    That Kingpin is really a vicious guy;
    Whoever crosses him is very surely soon to die;
    DareDevil's got a grudge that he won't let go;
    He's gonna save Manhattan from this evil foe!
    DareDevil - The Kingpin is after you;
    DareDevil - if he catches you, you're through!
    DareDevil - The Kingpin is after you;
    DareDevil - if he catches you, you're through!

    Meanwhile, the beautiful Electra, played by Jennifer Garner, has troubles of her own.  It seems that, along with most of New York, she believes that DareDevil is a bad guy, too!  In fact, even DareDevil isn't sure whether his vigilante efforts are heroic of right.  Looks like he just needs the faith-restoring love of a good woman!

    That Electra really is a crazy chick;
    She fights all her battles with a spin, stab, punch and kick;
    DareDevil loves her, but he won't tell her the truth;
    Just takes her to his favorite spot, up on the roof!
    DareDevil - now Electra is after you;
    DareDevil - if she catches you, you're through!
    DareDevil -  now Electra is after you;
    DareDevil - if she catches you, you're through!

    Since Kingpin can't get close enough to kill the fearless DareDevil, he decides to get a hitman to do it for him.  The ruthless psycho he chooses is Bullseye, played by Colin Farrell.  And, boy is he trouble!

    That Bullseye's even crazier than the rest;
    If you've got a target, hire him, 'cause he's the best;
    DareDevil can't see it coming, but he hears the sounds;
    And counters Bullseye's points with leaps and bounds!
    DareDevil - now Bullseye is after you;
    DareDevil - if he catches you, you're through!
    DareDevil - now Bullseye is after you;
    DareDevil - if he catches you, you're through!

    The last verse of the song gives away the ending, so I won't post it here.  While I was less than impressed with DareDevil, it's not really all that bad.  The villians are great, and there are some good, though far too brief, action sequences.  Also, the character of DareDevil is interesting, but compared to other recent super heroes, he's pretty tame stuff.  This one is best seen only in the comics, or at a Saturday matinee!
